چکیده

Abstract Background and Aims Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) is the most common cause of end-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD), conditioning these patients to a worse renal prognosis higher cardiovascular mortality and/or requirement for replacement therapy. The use novel information communication technologies (ICTs) focused on field health, may facilitates better quality life control in patients. Our objective evaluate effect monitoring DKD using NORA-app. Method Prospective feasibility/validation study NORA-app with stage G3bA3 or higher, followed outpatient clinics tertiary care hospital. an application smartphones designed risk factors, share educational medical information, communicate via chat health professionals, increase treatment compliance (Morisky-Green), collect patient reported outcomes such as anxiety depression HADs scale. Clinical-laboratory variables were collected at 3 months compared who declined Results From 01/01/2021 03/03/2022 was offered 118 patients, 82 accepted 36 (controls). After mean follow-up period 6,04 time data extraction 71(86.6%) remain active users, 2 have completed one year 9 are inactive (3 due death 6 non-locatable). There no differences baseline characteristics including Creatinine [2.1 (1.6-2.4) vs. 1.9 (1.5-2.5)] mg/dL alb/creat [962 (475-1784) 1036 (560-2183)] mg/gr between Nora respectively. therapeutic rate group 77%, improving 90 days 91%. Patients NORA-group showed significantly lower levels than controls (768(411-1971) mg/g Vs 2039 (974-3214) p = 0.047) 90-day follow-up. Conclusions In maintained long-term, leading high compliance, achieving control. suggests that generalized ICTs help personalized delay progression disease.

Non-albuminuric Diabetic Kidney Disease in Diabetic Patients: A Review

Introduction: The constantly increasing incidence of type 2 diabetes, probably due to obesity and sedentary life, has led to the increased incidence of macro- and microvascular diabetic complications such as nephropathy. Despite the prompt efforts to develop effective treatments for diabetes and slow the progression of its complications, it is still reported as the most common cause of chronic ...

Aerobic exercise in obese diabetic patients with chronic kidney disease: a randomized and controlled pilot study

BACKGROUND Patients with obesity, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease (CKD) are generally physically inactive, have a high mortality rate, and may benefit from an exercise program. METHODS We performed a 24-week randomized controlled feasibility study comparing aerobic exercise plus optimal medical management to medical management alone in patients with type 2 diabetes, obesity (body mass in...

Evaluation of Glomerular Filtration Rate Estimating Formulas in Diabetic Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease

Objective: Measurement of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the best determinant in assessment of kidney function for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. As extremely accurate methods of GFR measurement (i.e. Inulin clearance) are expensive and Time-consuming and due to limitations of the 24 hour urine collection method, some formula have been developed for the GFR measurement. Here we have ...

Management of Hypertension in Diabetic Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease

Susan Steigerwalt, MD, FACP Diabetes is associated with markedly increased cardiovascular risk, a risk compounded with imposition of chronic kidney disease (CKD). More than 80% of people with diabetes and CKD have hypertension, and many have an obliterated nocturnal blood pressure “dip,” the normal physiological drop in blood pressure during sleep. Appropriate blood pressure measurement is the ...
